JACK Cleveland Casino poker tournaments raise money for food bank

Jack Cleveland Casino’s poker room hosted two tournaments yesterday that raised more than $6,000 and 1,000 cans of food for the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. Both tournaments sold out, with players waiting in line up to an hour prior to start time to enter. While many players brought more items than the tournament required, others found out about the canned food drive when they arrived.
Those players went to a local store to stock up on canned goods and came back with a donation, ready to play in the tournament.

“I’m so proud of our poker players and the generosity they showed for the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. Their donations will provide more than 26,000 meals to people in need,” said Brian Weaver, poker room manager at Jack Cleveland Casino. “The players significantly exceeded our expectations and had a great time giving back. We’re already looking forward to next year”.
