Twitch partners with Poker Central

Social video service Twitch and Poker Central, the ultimate destination for fans of poker tournaments, cash games, and lifestyle away from the tables, today announced the World Series of Poker (WSOP) will air on Twitch. Twitch will bring live coverage of over 31 tournaments and 25 final tables, with the live streams starting on 2 June at 3:00 pm PT and running until 14 July. The action will unfold online, where players will battle it out for the most coveted prize in poker: a WSOP gold bracelet.

The lead commentators for Poker Central will be David Tuchman with support from Jeff Platt. Additionally, to provide an interactive viewing experience and introduce newcomers to the game, a rotating cast of Twitch poker personalities and other pros of the game will serve as color commentators, answering questions from chat and discussing the action with fans.

Featuring a comprehensive slate of tournaments in every major poker variation, the WSOP is the world’s longest-running and largest poker event in the world, having awarded nearly three billion dollars in prize money. A gold bracelet is awarded to the winner of each individual event, a prize recognized as the most prestigious in the entire sport.

“Year after year, our goal is to provide the highest quality poker content to as large an audience possible,” said Sam Simmons, vice president of content at Poker Central. “To that end, we’re proud to work with our long-time partners at Twitch to produce and distribute additional coverage of the WSOP - the preeminent tournament series in all of poker".
